Photo by UCHealth.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>During the current federal government shutdown, UCHealth is providing assistance and billing extensions to any current patients who are furloughed federal workers. Patients should simply call the billing customer service team to request a billing extension.<\/p>\n<p>Missing a medication or skipping an important medical appointment or service can have a serious effect on people\u2019s health, and UCHealth does not want anyone\u2019s health to be negatively impacted by the partial shutdown of the federal government.<\/p>\n<p>UCHealth will provide a 30-day extension, and longer if the federal government shutdown continues, to the medical bills of any current patients who are furloughed federal workers. Patients should call the phone number listed on their billing statement to request the extension. Current UCHealth patients who are furloughed government workers can also speak with staff at UCHealth retail pharmacies to request a delayed bill for their out-of-pocket pharmacy responsibilities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>During the current federal government shutdown, UCHealth is providing assistance and billing extensions to any current patients who are furloughed federal workers.
