AURORA, Colo.\u00a0 (Jan. 26, 2016) –<\/strong> University of Colorado Hospital (UCH) and UCH Foundation are gearing up for Hearts of All Ages 2016, a unique, family-friendly fundraiser that benefits the Transplant Center and celebrates Dr. Igal Kam\u2019s 30 years of service.<\/p>\n

The Transplant Center at UCH has been a leader in the field of transplantation since the team performed the first-ever liver transplant in 1963. For decades, Dr. Kam and his team have focused on providing the very best care for transplant patients.\u00a0 Under his leadership, the center has grown into the largest and most comprehensive transplant center in Colorado performing heart, lung, liver, kidney and pancreas transplants. UCH has performed more than 2,000 liver transplants and 5,000 kidney transplants. Dr. Kam has cared for thousands of patients during his career.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe couldn\u2019t be more excited to announce 2016\u2019s Hearts of All Ages beneficiary,\u201d says Erin Henninger, Senior Director of the UCH Foundation. \u201cDr. Igal Kam has done amazing work during his 30-year tenure at UCH, and the entire transplant team is truly deserving of this opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hearts of All Ages includes an entertaining outing for the whole family. As one of the only kid-friendly giving events in the Denver community, Hearts of All Ages embraces the moment to show children the importance of giving. The inaugural event was held on Feb. 14, 2008.<\/p>\n

Along with dinner, cocktails, silent and live auctions and a special program celebrating Dr. Igal Kam, attendees will enjoy various activities including face painting, a green screen with various sports games and much more! The event will be held on Saturday, Feb. 6 at the Hyatt Regency Convention Center. Former Denver Broncos running back, Reggie Rivers will emcee the evening\u2019s festivities.<\/p>\n
